Strength & Balance
Focusing on developing and improving both strength and balance in midlife and beyond is crucial to maintain independence, improve the quality of lives and to live a life with positivity.
Stronger muscles and improved balance make it easier to do daily activities and help to prevent falls. Practising the movements regularly as part of your daily routine will help you to eat, bath, get dressed and go to the toilet independently. You are more likely to be able to stay at home and live a life of your choice, rather than have support to help you.

Smile & Reflect
One of the foundation products and services from iCareiMove.
This is specific support for people living with dementia. A programme that has been developed and widely used in Memory cafes throughout Cornwall.
The programme includes reminiscence using music and rhythm for cognitive stimulation. The movements are designed to maintain motor skills and improve mobility. Happy hormones (serotonin and endorphins) are stimulated through playful music and engagement. All programmes created are from evidence-based research. Towards the end of the session the participants feel calmer and can often feel so relaxed they fall asleep.

The Fourth Age
Looking at specific aspects of your life that we can help you to improve in your 4th Age, can mean that you are the healthiest that you can be as you age.
This course is a deeper dive in ageing, covering subjects across physical and psychological and chronic health conditions. It enables you to follow your own ageing journey and be part of embedding a positive attitude to living well and ageing greatly.
We use the lifestyle medicine approach to identify the areas that can be improved and move on from that point. Your self care is important to us, and we support you with that journey.

Anybody that mentions cows in any training has my heart already but I’m not going to say too much about cows because I will be here for while! It has been amazing to hear all the feedback from the team. I think as an organisation we do a lot of training and they’ve been on a lot of workshops recently so to hear all of their genuine heartfelt messages and feedback to you I think is really powerful.
It’s good that they have all enjoyed it. I too have really enjoyed it and I think there’s going to be so much food for thought to take forward.

We have to sit in on a lot of presentations and generally, when you see a power point the eyes start to glaze over, and we said we were amazed that for hours we were just captivated the entire time. So whatever you’re doing Helen, I don’t know what it is, but it’s working and it’s really, really wonderful so I’ve enjoyed it. I’m no stranger to throwing myself in uncomfortable situations this is absolutely one of those, but I’ve enjoyed every second! Lots to takeaway when it comes to being able to see participants in a whole new light and I can empathise to a whole new level so that I can be helpful.
