iCareiMove Selected as a Provider on NHS Framework for Falls Prevention, Rehabilitation and Recovery Services

iCareiMove is proud to announce that it has been added to the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Framework for the Provision of Falls Prevention, Rehabilitation and Recovery Services.

The Framework provides a fully compliant route to market, facilitating the procurement of Falls Prevention, Rehabilitation and Recovery Services. As one of just five approved providers, iCareiMove is now eligible to be commissioned to deliver evidence-based falls prevention programmes helping older adults stay safe, active, and independent at home.

As an approved provider, iCareiMove can work directly with NHS Trusts and relevant Client authorities to reduce falls, support recovery, and help older adults maintain independence in their homes and communities. Call-off contracts with firm commitment will be offered at the point of award with Client authorities, either through direct award or by following a further competition process.

“We’re excited to share that iCareiMove has completed the full assessment process and has been officially accepted onto the framework. While this is not an awarded contract, it means we’ve met all the standards required and are now eligible for the next stage of selection when commissioners choose delivery partners.

For us, this is a big deal. As a small but ambitious organisation, now proudly part of the Future Fit Group, this milestone reflects how far we’ve come and the impact our programmes are already having across healthy ageing, falls prevention and workforce wellbeing.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our evolution. We’re ready for the next chapter.”

— Helen Tite, Founder, iCareiMove

This framework addresses a critical healthcare challenge. According to the 2023 National Audit of Inpatient Falls (NAIF) report, more than 60,000 people sustained a femoral fracture in England and Wales in 2022 due to a fall, with 2,033 of these occurring in inpatient settings. Not only does this affect the person injured, but it adds to the emotional toll placed on families and carers, as well as the additional cost to the NHS due to further care required.

Falls prevention services play a vital role in reducing these incidents whilst supporting people to live independently at home. The aim of the Framework is to provide relevant authorities with a fully compliant solution for Falls Prevention, Rehabilitation and Recovery Services, supplementing the delivery of patient care in line with the NHS’s core Key Performance Indicators and standards.

Services available under the framework include falls support planning and risk assessments, development of personalised plans to maximise the potential for independent living for older people, reducing the risks of falls and injuries by improving strength and balance, reducing hospital admissions as a result of falls, educating and raising falls prevention awareness, and delivering programmes for falls prevention in both home and residential care settings.
