Once you have delivered your class, it’s a lovely gesture, and good practice to say thank you and ask how they are feeling. That way, by having a conversation with them, you get to know if they need adaptations or progressions and find out a little bit more about them.
They will also come back for more if you show that you are interested in them and their welfare. By starting to build a relationship with your clients, this is where client retention comes in.
They get to know and trust you and will look forward to seeing you.
Ask for feedback and then reflect on this feedback for your own self evaluation.
Use the feedback as a way to improve your delivery and growth as an instructor. Think about your strengths and use those to the best of your ability. If you have identified any areas where you could improve, look at how you can work to improve them, draw up an action plan or ask for help!
No one is perfect and we can always learn from others.
You can make the class your own by adding your own “fitness magic”. Use your humour or tell stories. Your clients love to get to know you too.
